Finding Your Place to Make a Difference

Jesus is clear about the greatest commandments. First, love God. Then, love your neighbor. We share God’s love by providing food, praying for each other, fixing houses, working carpool, mentoring children, offering students a place to belong and more. Loving our neighbors isn’t something extra that a church does, it is the very heart of what it means to be the people of God.

We believe in allowing God to work through us to help others.

God created us with unique sets of gifts and skills which mean that some SERVE opportunities are going to fit you perfectly and others will make you uncomfortable. This is a journey of using what God has given you to transform the world, pushing out of your comfort zone, and finding joy in others. If you try an opportunity and it doesn’t fit right, don’t give up! Try something different and keep trying things until you find where the Holy Spirit breathes new life into you. To borrow words from Frederick Buechner, find “the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet.”
